This is a technique class for students with a good basic knowledge of quilting but is NOT suitable for a brand new quilter. Since the method used to sew to paper is quite different to the “usual” methods, this is a chance to try it on a small project to see if you like this process. There are many gorgeous large quilts that use this technique, and it is easier if students have a beginner level of instruction prior to tackling a large quilt of this type. Once you know what’s involved, you’ll feel more confident buying a pattern for one of those much more complicated larger quilts in this style. I give students a kit (at no extra cost) to make a small block to see what the technique is all about. Then each person will move on to make a more involved block that adds more pieces to make units which then get joined into a block, in the same manner as the big FPP designs are made. There are 3 of these blocks to make a table runner. Students attend 2 days in a row (and can leave their equipment and supplies overnight if they wish), then return a week later for their last class. I will show a variety of samples of this technique.

NOTE: This class has not been offered at Linda’s Quilt Shoppe before, so if interested please register ASAP to secure your spot.
