Janome 8200 QDP Special Edition

I purchased Janome 8200 QDP Special Edition machine just before Christmas. Delivery was very fast but I left for AZ and didn’t get to use it til April. I’m very pleased with this machine. I’m learning something new about it everyday. It is very easy to use. Stitches great. Looking forward to using it often!

Janome 8200 QCP Sewing Machine

I have been trying out my new machine and I love it. I have been using Janome Master Craft 6500 purchased probably 25 years ago and I have to say well used. This new and improved model is great! I particularly appreciate the how firmly foot holds the fabric and as a consequence how straight the stitching line is. Also the cutting function is superior to my older machine. As I use it more I'm sure I'll find lots of good stuff :)

Thank you so much Sharon for the 5 star review , you are such a pleasure to deal with. Enjoy your new Janome 8200, Jim

A Dream Machine

I am thoroughly enjoying what little I have done so far on my new machine!!! Computerized, yet not super complicated! Cant wait to spend more time on it and getting to know much more of what it can do! No Regrets!!!!

I love it!

I purchased the Janome MC8200QCP SE a few months ago and I wanted to use it for a while before submitting my review.
So far, I have sewn a top and pants for the holiday season out of a lightweight, silky fabric. I have designed a bag pattern and sewn up four of those bags using various, multiple layers of materials, like quilting cotton, Cork, Vinyl, Canvas, SF101 and foam. I have also sewn two quilted doggie coats with quilting cotton, batting and upholstery fabric for warmth. I am now sewing Cork wallets with many layers involved.
I have the Janome HD3000 which I still love, but the 8200 comes with the Accufeed System, instead of the Evenfeed foot. The Evenfeed foot is great and the HD3000 is strong. It will be my backup machine as running a pattern design business I cannot be without a machine. My sewing machine is running for half the day! I would recommend this machine to anyone too!
I wanted to up my game a little though and purchased the 8200 for wide space to the right of the needle, the adjustable needle position, the 9mm stitching, all those stitch options and the Acufeed System, which has different options for feet - stitch in the ditch and 1/4". I have purchased these two additional Acufeed feet since getting my 8200. I think I am “sold” on this machine! I also wanted some options for monogramming and was quite pleased when I could sew the dogs names onto their quilted coats! :)
I appreciate that the staff were able to answer all my questions promptly and I received my 8200 quickly and in perfect shape!
Funny thing is I found in my sewing room a pamphlet for Janome machines from long ago and I had this one circled, but didn’t purchase then and had forgotten about it - well apparently I didn’t really forget about it as I did eventually buy one! Thank you!
