My baby lock Jubilant arrived today. I love it, especially the automatic needle threader and the on/off button that means a foot pedal isn't necessary. I'm actually sewing while sitting on an easy chair. I have a table on wheels that I can bring right up to my chair. And if I don't go too fast, it runs whisper quiet, so I can sew at night, or when the TV is on.

I had purchased an inexpensive sewing machine from a big box store. It was very difficult setting up the machine and getting it to work as it would jam. I called Linda's Quilt Shoppe and they suggested bringing it in and they would have a look a it. I went to the shop and staff sat with me and took the time to show me what I was doing wrong. They also showed me the correct way to set up my machine. They did this at no charge. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This is the kind of store that cares about their customers. Received a Singer sewing machine as a gift & went into Linda's to learn how to use it (a free lesson came with the machine and Linda's was an eligible store). I had a lesson with Lynn (don't know spelling, sorry!) and it was so wonderful. Both her and Rhonda were so kind and welcoming, and helped me understand my new machine! I am brand new to sewing and it was the best introduction to it, I can't wait to start sewing and I will absolutely head back to Linda's often for supplies and advice. What a truly lovely business!
